American Dog Rescue Foundation Lends a Helping Paw to DFW Lab Rescue

American Dog Rescue Foundation founder and “For the Love of Dogs” host Arthur E. Benjamin had a special surprise in store for guest Lisa Hyne at the end of her recent appearance on the TV show – a 0 donation for her organization.

Hyne is the executive director of Dallas-Fort Worth Labrador Retriever Rescue Club, better known as DFW Lab Rescue. She says the funds will be used to do exactly what one might expect – help more Labs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who really need it.

“DFW Lab Rescue is thrilled to receive a 0 donation from American Dog Rescue Foundation,” Lisa says. “We are always in need of funding to help Labs in need in the Dallas area. This donation, along with others we get from our appearance, will allow us to rescue deserving Labs and give them a new leash on life.”

DFW Lab Rescue is an all-volunteer organization and has rescued and re-homed some 2,000 dogs during its 15-year history. Its upcoming fundraiser is a 5K and 1-mile race called “Run for Retrievers.” The event takes place September 8 in Reverchon Park in Dallas.

“As much as I love all dog breeds, I’ve enjoyed some especially close bonds with Labrador Retrievers throughout the years, especially my own “Samantha” who spent 10 years with our family bringing joy to every day,” Arthur says. “It was a pleasure for American Dog Rescue Foundation to donate to this worthy organization that helps so many Labs in Dallas.”
