On Saturday, September 15, American Dog Rescue joined Metroplex Animal Coalition in sponsoring “Wags and Waves” – an annual fundraiser benefitting Animal Guardians of America, Feral Friends, Legacy Boxer Rescue, Cat Matchers, DFW Rescue Me and other Dallas-area animal causes.
People and their pooches turned out in droves to cool off at the NRH2O Family Water Park in North Richland Hills, Texas and some even participated in a canine costume contest.
“For the Love of Dogs” co-host Farah White was on hand to represent American Dog Rescue Foundation, as well as to help judge the contest.
The event raised approximately $15,000 – which is certain to make a positive impact on North Texas animals in need.
“Events like this are always fun to attend,” ADRF founder Arthur E. Benjamin said. “But even more importantly, this is a great opportunity to benefit many great organizations that are on the front lines helping animals each and every day.”
Wags and Waves organizers recently appeared on “For the Love of Dogs” to promote the event – the full episode can be viewed here.
