Best Buddies Florida Brings Food, Friends and Fun to Broward

HOLLYWOOD, FL (October 2010) – Delray Beach executive and philanthropist Arthur E. Benjamin’s non-profit organization, The Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation, served as the presenting sponsor of the 1st annual ‘All in Good Taste’ fundraiser, benefitting Best Buddies Florida. The inaugural event was held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Aizia Restaurant & Night Club at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, FL. The event raised more than ,000 and garnered an additional ,000 by way of in-kind donations.

“A large part of The Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation’s focus is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and to support young adults through educational efforts,” says Benjamin. Best Buddies works tirelessly to establish relationships and integrate employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ‘All in Good Taste’ brought together more than 200 South Florida business and community leaders, and VIPs for an evening of food, fashion, friendship and fun, all to benefit Best Buddies Broward. Guests savored delectable hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Aizia, and mingled over signature cocktails and musical entertainment while meeting new friends.

Additionally, Prestige Audi of North Miami Beach had vehicles on display, including the newly revealed Audi A8, which was offered as a weekend loaner as part of the raffle. Guests also experienced a live painting by David Benegas, and enjoyed a fashion show presented by A Nose for Clothes under the direction of the Jeffery Lubin Group. Fashions were modeled by contestants from the Miss Florida and The Miss Teen Florida Pageant, and Buddies in the program were onsite to mingle with guests.
